alarm icons missing from calendar events

when i set an alarm for an event i used to see an alarm-bell icon in the event on the calendar. those icons no longer appear for events i create (the alarms are still triggered and delivered at the proper time)

not sure what "event" precipitated this change--it occurred around the time i installed 10.5.2, new iLife, and some software updates that were released recently (all are current).

any suggestions?

Try reapplying the 10.5.2 update, but use the "combo" updater.
