Why couldn't Microsoft have added the ability to check mail using the dock icon like the Apple Mail.app does. This feature would be very useful, and seemingly easy to add. Right now, I need to switch to Entourage to have it check (I check manually on my laptop since I am often disconnected from a wireless network when working with clients).

It'd be a nice feature. Seems odd they wouldn't add such a simple item.
