I want to make a .iso, and I'm wondering which I should go for. I want it to be rewritable, so I don't want to put it as a CD/DVD.

What are you trying to do?
Do you want to rip Sim City 4 so you can re-burn it at a later date?

Are they the options you got after selecting the CD/DVD you want to rip in the side pane?

Those are the options you get when you're creating a new blank image. They are all writeable. You can't make a blank read-only image. How would you put data on it?

I'm trying to make a blank ISO, not a image of the DVD.

Ha, never thought of that.

Anyway, I just wanted to know what the difference between them was.
