I have an MP3 Jukebox update cd that is used to literally update jukeboxes playing MP3 music. When opening the cd on my desktop there are many folders containing single MP3 tracks of approx 2mb in size. Unfortunately none of the tracks open in iTunes automatically and when I double click or force the track to open I get screeching distortion and no music. Is it possible to use these cd's on a Mac although I tried a year ago to do the same on a pc and the same happened. Will there be a special encryption on these discs?

Sounds like the files are encrypted with a DRM or something else which only the Jukebox or a special piece of software can decrypt.

Moved to Applications...

What jukeboxes does this disc update? There may be some proprietary disc format involved. When you insert the disc, does it show up in Finder? Can you see the songs on it?

The disc mounts onto my desktop and then I can open the folders and see the song titles, but it does not open in iTunes and if I "open with" and force iTunes to see it and open a track all I get is this awful spasmodic screeching.
