I just gt a new intel based IMAC and I installed ezdrummer on it along with a bunch of kits (and the update to 1.1.1). I can get ezdrummer solo to run problem free, but when I try to assign ezdrummer as a software instrument in garage band, its not in the list. I don't understand what's going on. For some reason, it won't recognize the component. What can I do to get garageband to know that ezdrummer is installed and working just fine on my computer? I've tried restarts, reinstallations, etc, but all to no avail. What's going on here? I have it on my powerbook g4 and it works fine. Idk what the problem could be.

Just to check: do you mean that it doesn't show up in the list of Garageband software instruments, or that it doesn't show up in the list of generators? Because (iirc), by default a new Apple AudioUnit doesn't show up in the GB instrument list, you have select it as generator and save as a new instrument.

I can't find EZdrummer in my GarageBand
1. Download the latest EZdrummer update (required for Intel based Mac)
2. Start GarageBand as per usual procedure
3. Press Play then Stop in the transport to start the audio engine
4. With a track selected, click the 'info' sign in the lower right-hand corner.
5. Click Details, then 'Generator'
6. Choose 'EzDrummer' from the list
7. To bring up the interface, click the 'Edit' button (pencil icon to the right).
