Hi i am beginer with mac so i have some problem, sorry :-)
When i had bought my new mac (now i am using mac os x 10.4.11) I installed into my mac software like windows media player for mac etc. But i wanna play videos from websites in format .wmv and it doesnt work! try this site: gymTV - zpr�vy, kter� znaj� svou �kolu (the language of this site is czech :-) :-) ) I cant play this, could you tell me why? Can you see this video on your macs? It says that my quicktime player cant play this video so it tries to play this video with WMP, and it doesnt work too!
Where is the mistake, can i change settings in preferences (in safari?)

I apologize for my english, i hope that u will understand :-)

I would be very grateful if you could help me, or tell me your opinions. Thnx Epinglier :-)

Do you have the Windows Media Components for QuickTime installed?

Some wmv may not play if it is a garbage file downloaded from a warez site. Not saying you did that. Just saying it happens.

On my machine, the video on the site you linked to gave me a 404 error, which seems to suggest that the video doesn't exist on the server side.

Are you sure that link works in Windows?

edit: I had a look through the source, and it turns out the video itself works if you go directly to it, but there's a file named "playlist.asx" that the embed link wants, and which doesn't seem to exist. I doubt the embed link would work on Windows either, but it might be worth trying.
