I have just spent the last hour scouring the internet for a simple Automator Workflow or Applescript that will do the following - I just want to take a folder of images, and have that folder get duplicated, have the new duplicate folder renamed to be "folder_small" (where "folder_" is the original folder name) and have all the images in the duplicate folder get resized to like 25% of their original size. For the life of me, I can't find anything any workflow or AppleScript that does exactly this. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, I have read that thread and downloaded all the apps suggested (the ones where the download links actually work, that is), and none of them does precisely what I want. I have GraphicConverter, which is what I use, and have used, for years. But it still takes me several steps to do the conversion, and I want like a nice icon in my dock or whatever I can drop the folder on to, have it duplicate that folder, rename the duplicate to be like "folder_small", and resize all the images in that folder to 25% of their previous size. I can do this manually, but what I want is a one-step action, e.g. an Automator workflow or an AppleScript. Anyone, anyone??

Works from within Automator with the folder selected in Finder. If you want to make this a Finder Plug-in for the context menu then delete the "Get selected Finder items" action and save as Finder Plug-in.
