hi there,
i transferred a few thousand of my old photos to an external hard drive (some in iphoto folder organization, some "loose" in folders) before i wiped my computer's hard drive and reinstalled the os. i then installed ilife 08. my question is this:
how best to reimport all my old photos into iphoto, what with the new "events" feature, etc. will iphoto 08 recognize and automatically organize my old photos?
any hints or recommendations?

Follow these directions to import the photos that are currently in iPhoto files: iPhoto: How to move the iPhoto Library Folder to a new location.

For the loose ones, I'd use the import function in iPhoto. If they are organized somehow into folders, import them folder by folder to save that organization. iPhoto will otherwise import all into one "event". Each folder that you import (individually) will be one event.
