i am re-installing my OS and pulling down my email from my sbcglobal account(att/yahoo) and it doesnt look like it is getting any of the mail that i have moved from my inbox to folders on the yahoo server? is there a way to force Mail to look at those folders and get those messages also? there is well over 500, i'd hate to have to move them to the inbox and take em back out on yahoo?

Did you set up these folders online or via Mail?

Does your ISP support IMAP?

the folder i want to download from is online, its on yahoo's server. my work folder. i have set up folders on my mac in mail where i intend to sort the files once they are all downloaded, but it seems to be ignoring any emails that are still on the server but in my inbox, and are in folders?

i dont believe so.
