Does anyone know of a way in which I can import a multi-level folder structure full of images into iPhoto, so that each folder gets imported as its own individual album? ...and if the particular folder happens to be nested within another folder, then that folder would be imported into iPhoto as an album which appears nested within an iPhoto folder?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

AFAIK, if you set iPhoto ('08)'s "Events" settings to create a new new event for each folder/object imported from the Finder, it should do just that.

Try it with two or three folders, just to be sure.

Quite sure it wouldn't work with anything prior to iPhoto '08.

dragging and dropping a folder of images into iPhoto will import my folders and separate them based on their date, with the following settings available via the preferences:

but that's not going to work for me, where I have folders containing images from a particular vacation that lasted a week, and other folders containing images from a specific event that lasted a couple hours...and as far as doing it manually, here's a 'partial look at about 1/5 of my folder structure that I would like to import...THERE MUST BE AN ALTERNATIVE!!

(though note that it was literally fifteen seconds of googling to find it)
