Quicken 2008 Windows and Fusion

I've installed Quicken '08 for Windows in a Fusion VM. It seems to work fine in single-window or full-screen view, but if I try to switch to Unity view and keep it on the Dock, it runs into problems. I either have to reload the data file each time I open it or it doesn't fully open at all. Unity would be nice, but do I have the data file in the wrong place?
