Ok I have my computer image built the way I want it and I have rebuilt the Default user Profile so that all Active Directory network Users who login will get the same setting, setup etc.

lone behold, the only setting I can not get to stick is the "Default Browser" I do not want it set to Safari as safari has alway had issues with working with webmail and always asks for a password when opening the browser. I have tried resetting to Camino, FireFox etc. and through I copy all the files relating to any browser, seems that when the user logs in, still defaults to Safari.

Any ideas?

Are any of the users using FileVault? If so... that's your problem. There's a known bug with FileVault that crept in around 10.4.7 or so and carried forward to 10.5.x. Basically, some preference gets corrupted, or doesn't get saved properly so that the default apps get reset on login and/or restart.

Ahh, of course, as soon as I read your reply I realized that's where it should be.
Just creating a master image of the computer now.... so will test after image is created.

Thanks,
.
