Are there free alternatives to iPhoto that will work on a G3 iBook and read the newer iphoto libraries?

Thanks.

I am trying to be able to read the photos on the iBook, as well as transfer photos between two macs, one of which has a newer iPhoto on it that the 1.1.1 on the iBook can not read.

Well, you can just dive into the library structure and yank out the jpegs.

Why not upgrade the iBooks iphoto? I've seen or read people being able to run iphoto 08 on a g3, though I'm unsure if there's any modifications to make it run. You're other option is to perhaps downgrade to an version that will work on both computers. Though after the library has been converted it may be a little more difficult.

I do not think there's any free alternatives to iPhoto that just happen to use iPhoto's own file structure.
