Almost every session I have with iMovie shuts down randomly at one time or another, resulting in a loss of sometimes an hours of work.

There needs to be an auto-save feature, or an update to fix the constant shut downs I have experienced with both Tiger and Leopard...

What mac is it running on? How much memory do you have? I have no problems running this in tiger or leopard on both my iMac and mac pro. Explain what you are doing when it crashes. Any other programs crashing on you? Did you try repairing permissions and checking the hard drive? Any additional transitions you purchased for iMovie? What version of iMovie are you using?
