OK, I have been using the mail app for years now. About 6 months ago, my wife sent me a link from a website (monster.com) and now, randomly, when I type in her address, it routes not to her, but to monster.com. When she sent me the link from monster, they used her email addy as the return address.

This only happens occasionally, but it seems that once mail recognizes her address (I always just type in the first few letters & it brings it up) as belonging to monster.com. Instead of bringing up xxxxx@ameritech.net, which would route the email to my wife, it brings up xxxxx@ameritech.net <route@monster.com> which sends the emails to monster. If I don't look carefully this happens & my wife doesn't get the emails, but I don't know that she isn't getting them as they don't bounce back to me. Is there any way to clear mail's memory so that it will dissociate her email address from monster.com? I don't have them saved in my address book, so it must be something that is happening from within mail.

Thanks,

sorry that one line should read....it brings up xxxxx@ameritech.net<route@monster.com> It shouldn't be separated into 2 different lines.

Remove it from the Previous Recipients under the Window menu.

Art,

Thanks so much. That solved the problem. This has been driving me nuts for months.
