Now I'm starting to get nervous. My account is supposed to renew Tuesday (7/15; anniversary of the original iTools), but I've got the "There is a problem with the credit card of this account" error message. It was bad enough when the Billing Info section disappeared for two days, but now, even if I enter in the correct info (I'm using a new card since the renewal last year), I still get this message. I have an email into support, but I'm wondering if anybody else has been able to overcome this.

Is it a new card with the same numbers as the old one, but new expiration and possibly a new security code?

I've had this problem before with some merchants set to auto-bill: got a new card with the same digits as the old one, but new expiration date. The merchant's site wouldn't let me change the expiration date or security code b/c it tracked only by card number.

The workaround was to remove the card from my auto-pay profile and add a 'new' card.

MobileMe doesn't let you "remove" a card. This is a new card because my old card, according to my bank, was compromised. New numbers, new code, new expiration date. There are discussions at Apple about this, but I wanted to see if anybody here had the same problem.

Yes. I am having a similar problem. My account renews in less than 20 days. When I log into my account online, it says there is a problem with my credit card. I checked my billing info for my account at the MobileMe website (I was finally able to do this today). My listed credit card info is current, but not complete. It is not complete because there is nothing listed for the security code. Unfortunately, in both Safari and Firefox, I am unable to add (or re-add, I should say) my credit card's security code.

Same here. But I did find that you can just erase and reenter your credit card number and you'll be able to re-enter the security code.

Well guess what: MobileMe renewed perfectly fine this morning.

" Your subscription will renew on Jul 15, 2009."

I don't know if it was my email to Apple or what, but the renewal was successful.
