It may be unnecessary, but it's something that bothers me. I'd like to have Safari automatically "Reset" when I quit it. Is this at all possible through a plug-in or something? Either that, or have it always start up in "Private Browsing" mode? I'm trying to avoid having to go to the menu either at start-up or quit.

Opera and Firefox both offer similar functionality and I've gotten used to a totally clean slate when I open a browser.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

Isn't this what the Kiosk mode is for?

Otherwise I guess you could manually clean out and lock the cache and history folders and lock the .plist

You could get an application like After-surf to clean up Safari after exiting it.
