using Carbon Copy Cloner I want to clone the system of a 750GB HD to new 80GB in the same computer so its my boot drive, but not copy the contents of my movies folder as it would be too large for the 80GB drive (the system and everything else should have enough space)

after doing that i was going to erase everything but the movies folder on the 750gb. in that movies folder I have a "cinema" folder and a "tv" folder which I am planning to make Alias's or symlinks to put in the Movie folder on the 80 gig.

I'm hoping that itunes (now on the 80gb) will still recognize the library and I don't have to re-import/tag everything again. (my tunes library in the music folder contains .mov files that reference the AVI's in the movies folder)

would I have to rename the drives so the 80 is called what 750 is and rename the 750 to something else? (so the itunes library location is the same) would this even work?

I've never used CCC sorry if these are stupid questions

Why not just put the itunes folder onto the bigger drive and direct itunes (in the preference pane) to that drive after you clone it? I ran out of space so bought a 1TB drive and put itunes folder on it with no problems.
