Here is my problem: I have my itunes music folder on an external hard drive. It has worked flawlessly for a year. I recently noticed that my itunes library file (the actual file that is in Music folder) was not there nor is the previous itunes library folder. I also started receiving messages about not being able to save itunes library. I rebuilt the library using the xml file that i exported from itunes. After 36 hours of rebuilding everything seems to be working, however, i still do not see my itunes library. Also when copying new files to itunes, they show in the itunes and can even be played, but when i look for them on the external hard drive they are nowhere to be found. Hopefully this makes sense to someone, thanks for the help.
