When i updated form 10.4 to 10.5 ilife was not updated to 08 from 07. Does anyone know why this has happened and how i can update to 08?

This happened because iLife isn't Mac OS X.

It's a separate product - it just gets bundled with new machines, that's all.

You need to purchase iLife '08. If you are content with '06 maybe wait till January to see whether there will be a '09.

*smack* I can't believe this was actually posted!

And I say that because on this page, under Applications, it clearly doesn't show iLife apps.

Actually since iLife comes with new Macs many people think its part of OSX. Its completely understandable why many folks think that when they update or upgrade OSX iLife apps will get updated/upgraded.

btw, most people don't navigate to the technical specs of OSX to see what is or isn't there as they have little to no reason to.

Unless, of course, there's something missing that causes them enough grief to go register at a troubleshooting board and post a query.
