To make a long story short, because of a stupid mistake I had to reinstall address book from the original OS X 10.5 disc using Pacifist to install the individual application package. Since then, OS X has not recognized that my Address Book needs updating. I am currently running Address Book Version 4.1 (687). I want to update manually to the current version (4.1.1 (695)) but am unable to do so. Because I have not been able to update the option to sync with my Google contacts does not appear (and yes I do have an iphone 3G which has been synced with itunes and Address Book). If anyone knows of a way (or place) to download the update package or force Address Book to update please let me know.
