hello there:
a friend of mine has an (old iBook) 20Gb HD and a lot of photos. i’ve given her an ext.HD that she can export to. she wants to export the lot, then erase them on her computer to free up space
now, in iTunes you can set your prefs to source music on an ext.HD
but in iPhoto i can’t figure out how to do this
i don’t want to move (export) all her pics offshore until i’m confident she can easily access them later
any ideas anyone?

ps:
we're talking about a lot of photos and iPhoto will only allow the export of 60 .jpegs at a time. really impractical.
i want to archive several/different "iPhoto Libraries" to an ext.HD, each of which are accessible from the .app.
hope this is clear

um, tried this and everything worked except the selected iPhoto library on the ext.HD was ghosted. i tried changing ownership in various combinations. nothing worked. any more ideas?
meanwhile, we'll give 'iPhoto Buddy' a try-out. thanx.
