I've been using Toast Titanium 9.0.1 for several months. Lately (before and after OS 10.5.5) whenever I insert a blank CD or DVD to record something, it says (actually the MAC says), that it cannot complete my request since the CD is unreadable.

I then click 'OKAY', then click Record again and it works, every time.

There is an update for Toast 9.0.2, but it implies that I have to buy it. No upgrade.

I'm wondering if it's the type of CD's and DVD's I'm buying and using: Memorex CD's and Verbatim DVD's. (I buy the cheapest that are on sale).

Or is my optical drive going on the fritz? Not sure about that since I use an external DVD-burner for DVD's

Anyone else having this issue?

You don't have to buy the upgrade to 9.0.2.

But you need to register to download the upgrade.

Go to roxio.com, get yourself an account, upgrade, and see if the problem persists.
