Is there no way to save .term files in Leopard?

In Tiger (and previous releases), Terminal.app allowed for the saving of .term files. It provided a way to save commands and execute them automatically upon opening. Why did Apple remove this functionality from Leopard's Terminal, and what, if anything, replaced it?

I think Apple killed .term files (well, they still work, but Terminal can't create them). If you want to have clickable shortcuts that execute in Terminal, you can still make a shell script and give it a .command extension.
