Spark, by Shadow Lab, is a well made, polished, free utility that I found a while back for creating keyboard shortcuts that can be scripted to launch applications, run scripts or do system tasks. You can, for example, make useful all the empty function keys that are otherwise wasted. I have to say I wish it were shareware so that I could pay for it!
