Hi All,

I m desperately trying to remove my ISP's DNS server as it slows down lookups - I want to use the opendns server instead

The problem is I cannot remove the existing DNS entry and its driving me mad - I m using a macbook air and all examples i ve seen have been on doing this for the ethernet port

Heres a screen shot of the dns tab in sysprefs - Notice how you cant remove the first entry!

I cant attatch a screenshot as there is no option to do so - But the first entry is my router and it does not let you remove this in Airport

Is this a known limitation

You don't need to worry about it. The ones you supply are always used first, even if the grayed out one is at the top of the list.

You can also input OpenDNS at the router level.
