I use Mail as my email client in Leopard. I want to keep all my sent email in another email account as archive. Is it possible to auto-populate the BCC field with a specific email address in every outgoing email?

If so, how?

Thanks!

You can set up an Automator workflow to achieve this. You would run the mini-app each time you wanted to write a new e-mail, or something. I don't see that this would be particularly efficient, but it might give you a start. I'm also thinking that there must be some other method to achieve what you are trying to do, rather than having to BCC yourself each time.

Yeah, that doesn't seem efficient. I don't want to think of it actually......I just want to set it once and then happen every time after that. Up until now, I've been once a month uploading it using IMAP but that isn't very efficient either. Thanks!

Any other ideas?

Maybe this would work?

Mail -> Preferences -> Composing -> [√] Automatically [Bcc] myself

And then set the account you want it to go to as your default.

That would be a great solution.....but how to I change "myself" to a specific email address?

Thanks!

Although setting a different address would be better I think your solution will work considering I have all incoming emails forwarded to my external address anyway.

Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it.
