Whenever someone sends me an email with an attached wmv file, just the audio is present in Mail. In order to watch the video, I have to download the attachment to my desktop. It then opens and plays normally. I've had Flip4Mac installed for quite some time. This is a recent development. Up until recently, the attached video would show up within the email and could be played/viewed from there as well.

Anybody have any suggestions as to the cause and/or a solution?

Don't know, but have you got Perian installed and, if so, have you updated to the latest version? If not installed, do so anyway.

I just checked out the Perian website and is says, "Windows Media is unsupported, use the Flip4Mac WMV Components instead."

I have never received a WMV file in an email. Thankfully.
