I have no real problems with new AOL Radio 2.0 beta 1 and generally am pleased with its performance. However, I miss having preferences settings--my preferences are greyed out. Is it me or are others noting this as well?

Greyed out here also. I just use the web version honestly and forgot they had a desktop version for Mac!

Many thanks to you both. Not that I have ever been the one to hose things, it is nice to know my record is intact. And yes, at least the presets work.

Still, I am curious/wonder why an app, even in beta, would be released with no preferences options. But then, there is much about AOL that continues to elude me.

I've seen other apps in beta that either had the preferences link greyed out or it was functional but none of the preferences were able to be set (just icons sitting pretty with no function). I can't think of the apps offhand but I do recall that happening!

Only rarely have I installed betas, so I was totally unaware that this condition may occur. Thanks for the tip!
