hi there,

i've got a lot of music - so much so that when it ran out of space i just copied the whole itunes music folder over to my external hard drive and then started anew in itunes. so now i've got 3 separate "itunes music" folders in my external hard drive, each with its music organized into folders (since i had the "keep itunes folder organized" button selected in itunes).

how can i combine them so i have them all in one folder again???

thanks!

Errr... no. It's "Consolidate Library..." in the singular, which takes any files that are in your iTunes list, but are stored outside the iTunes folder, and moves them into that folder. It does not consolidate multiple libraries.

I don't know of any way to consolidate several libraries and maintain the sum of the play counts, etc. But if you just care about the media, then take the other folders and just drag them into iTunes to add the content, and then use a duplicate-removal script to nix duplicates.

is there a way to "de-folder-ize" the contents of one, single folder - so that the contents of that folder are all on a single "level" in that folder (non-hierarchical)?
