In search for a reason for uneven lighting of my display, the customer service rep had me reset the PRAM.
Now I get this message when I try to get my mail:
"Connection failed"
"The server error encountered was: POP user name "my email address here" unrecognized."
I checked the settings, passwords, etc., and it's all still there in the Apple Mail preferences.
Safari and my internet connection work fine.
What else could I do?
