How can I disable the Safari feature of populating the address bar as I type. For example if I start to type "yout" Safari suggests "youtube". I've located the autofill preference and I am able to remove specific website recently visited that are stored in the cache but I'm looking to disable the suggestions that are being populated from my bookmarks.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can. I feel your pain, though. It never completes when I want it to — and often does complete just when I'm about to hit return, so it sends me to the wrong place.

Just type in a space before you start with the www.… bit. Safari won't have a clue what you're up to.
