Gentlemen,

I am stuck on a problem.
From time to time I need to write some not common characters on my projects.
One of the most nice font to deal with is the "Apple Symbols", however, when I manage
this file with Font Book all I can get is to SEE the complete font repertoire (command + 2),
and it is impossible to COPY a character and paste, for example, on a Photoshop text layer.

Morevover, if I move to custom view (command + 3) I have only few sample items (where I can copy),
but I can't see the whole char table available. In this view I can write new letters, however
it is impossible to find out the correct sequence (unicode or whatever it is called) to input
most of the symbols see on repertoire.

Any help?
Thanks for your attention!

Thanks Big Mac!
I will try the widget.

At the moment I found a temporary solution:
1 - I did print the complete Apple Symbols repertoire to a PDF (around 10 pages of glyphs!!!!)
2 - I open the PDF with preview, select the desired character, command+c, and paste in Photoshop
3 - This worked with several characters, but also did not work with a bunch of them... strange!

Thanks again,
C.

System Preferences > International > Input Menu: Check "Character Palette"

You then have a menu item that gives access to the entire character table of each loaded font.

Oh my...
How silly I am!

I used to "use" this several times when needed to check japanese radicals
for my language studies! How can I forget the thing?
Thanks, thanks!!!
