Hi All,

Does anyone know if Apple has stopped supporting old generation ipods in itunes 8? The reason I ask is I have a first generation ipod mini that is no longer recognized since I updating itunes to version 8.

Thanks for the help.

Did you update anything else at the same time as updating to iTunes 8?

Download the full iTunes 8; maybe something got corrupted or broken during the first update.

My 1st-generation 5GB iPod works just fine with iTunes 8.0.2.

People still use their 1Gs?

I guess if folks can get a 1st generation ipod to work with itunes 8, then the first gen mini should also work. I must have done something wrong. I'll have to give it another go with the full itunes 8 download.

Thanks.

My 2G still keeps chugging along nicely. Looks like a brick, but it was sure built like one. I'm sure it'll outlive even my iPhone 3G
