Gentlemen,

I know nothing about automator, and before start studying the whole
thing I wonder - Is that possible to do the following?

I have *many* directories like this way:

001 - Title of the directory a
002 - Title of the directory b
003 - Title of the directory cde
(...)
400 - Title of the Directory xyz

Inside of each I have - most of the time - JPGs files and sometimes GIFs or PNGs.
They have completely random names.
There are no subdirectories.

This is what I want to do:
- I want to *enter* on each directory, compress everything on *that* directory to .ZIP
- Rename the archive result to "Title of the Directory.zip"
- Change the extension to .cbz
- Move the .cbz out of its parent directory to a "CBZ Files" folder located in another place, maybe in the desktop.
- Start again on the next folder...

Note:
I don't want to compress one directory itself (folder + contents) in my .CBZ, I want only the files.
And it could be nice to not have ANY .DS-STORE and other Finder system files hidden inside my CBZs.
They show pretty weird when I open them on windows.

Is this feasible through automator?
Because, if it is not, I will need to search for a solution elsewhere.
Thank you very much for your attention!

Best,
Cospefogo.

Ha ha ha...
Just found a absurdly simple solution:

STUFFIT DROPSTUFF!

I just needed to change the ZIP options to better fit my needs
and drag many directories together to the program.
It generates automatically one zip for each directory, using the directory name!

Now all I still need to find out how to do is to rename ALL .ZIP to .CBZ on a bulk way...
Anyone?

Create an Automator action:
Filter Finder Items (name extension is equal to "zip") -> Rename Finder Items (Find Text ".zip" Replace With ".cbz")
