I installed McAfee on my Mac running 10.5.5 and I did not like it so I removed it but some of it seems to continue to run. How do I get rid of it? I no longer have the DMG file.

Why not download it again and see if there's an uninstaller? Or go to their support section and look for uninstall info.

Asking at McAfee's site gave this set of instructions. Should be pretty easy to do...

Thanks but it does not work. It responds by saying I do not have the privilege to run this script. I tried to modifying the privileges but it did not matter.

Indeed, OmniDiskSweeper or/and AppZapper may help you.
