so i go to open itunes, and it starts to load gapless playback information. it freezes the computer and i have to shut it down. i figure it must be a problem that can be fixed with an update, so i try to install it, and it says the source file's damaged. what's a boy to do? (also- my leopard disk is about 100 miles away. i can't get it until the 19th.

Isn't iTunes available for free at apple.com?

I'd say it's very likely that it is.


Sorry to hear your trouble. I had once a whole library die on me. I had to set up everything again. The music was still there, but all the play counts, play lists, etc., were gone.
