Using PhotoShop CS4 on my 2.8 ghz iMac, with 4 gb RAM using 10.5.5, I am unable to crop a photo from 15 inches width to 5 inches width. When I indicate the areas I wish to crop off with the cropping tool, and then press the return key, the photo shrinks to a tiny .006 width. Any ideas and/or suggestions?

Are you using the actual Crop tool, or are you using the Canvas Size dialog? I could see this problem occurring if you accidentally had the Canvas Size dialog set to "Percentage" or "Pixels" instead of "Inches".

What I'd somehow done is enter 0.006 in the Width box of my options. When I erased that, leaving it blank, it worked fine.
