None of my 7000+ pictures when I open iPhoto

Guys I need urgent help....!

A few weeks ago I have moved my iPhoto folder to an external drive and it has opened without any problem and the path to it is good.

Today I open it and there is ZERO pictures in it!!!!!
I opened the package folder and found that the latest pictures I added are in there and the file is still 12+Go.
Also I have a back up of this folder which gives the same result NO pictures when opening...!!!!

Where can that come from?
How can I fix it?

Hold down the option key when starting iPhoto, then select the Library on your external drive.

Don't forget to include the iPhoto Library on your external hard drive in your backup (on another hard drive).
