Hi all,
I have a little project in which I need to take photo stills from a video playing on DVD. At most I would need to capture photos and insert some titles. Do you guys have any suggestion on which software would be required to do this. I think OSX can do this by pressing a sequence of keys.. but I wonder if there is a software that can do this in an easier manner?

Taking a screenshot will blank out the DVD player window in OS X for copyright reasons.

If you play the DVD using VLC instead, screenshot commands will work fine (Cmd-Shift-3 for fullscreen, Cmd-Shift-4 for just a window, more variations you will find in the keyboard shortcuts section of the Mouse & Keyboard pane in the System Preferences).

Thank you! Actually the DVD captures are from TV broadcasts burned on a DVD.. even so it will be blank screen using DVD player?
