A similar phenomenon occurred during the Synk 4.x to 5.0 transition.
The developers are being extra cautious. The utility gets into a mode
whereby: it won't delete anything on the target that
it didn't put there.
Instead of choosing 'Backup-Left-to-Right' you may need to go with
'
Mirror-Left-to-Right' or perhaps '
Blind-Backup-Left-to-Right'.
I haven't experimented to be able to say for sure... but my
guess would be Mirror.

Another thing is -- when a major update like this comes along -- it's sometimes best
to create new backup configs (ChronoSync "docs") instead of letting the app update
