Ever since Apple released Grapher for Mac OS X 10.4, I've always, always, always had this problem when I use Grapher:
Font Conflict
Several characters cannot be displayed correctly because of a conflict with the font "Symbol".
When I used Grapher for the first time back in Mac OS X 10.4, I had this error message. The result: Parentheses will appear normal for me in regular font size:
( )
but when I have fractions and really complicated expressions inside of them, the large parentheses always appear as literally a Tetris stack of squares, instead of
( )
This problem has always been with Grapher for me on my iMac G5, has never gone away, not even after numerous installs of my operating system, upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5.6, and so I've lived with Grapher doing this forever. This problem has also always existed on my MacBook, with all the same OSs as mentioned before.
I just tried searching the internet in general, as well as MacRumors, and MacNN... nobody else has this problem. How could this problem go unnoticed by anyone?? What is the fix for this??
