Just bought a new 2.8 ghz dual quad yesterday from the Apple store. I have software, like Toast Titanium, FinalCut Xpress HD3, and others that I'd like to install. Some of these programs are old and were running on my G4 dual 800 from 2003. Is there a place or web site that tells one what programs will work and which will not? OR can I just assume that nothing will work on the newer Intel architecture.

thanks,

Kenny

Almost all PowerPC programs will work on an Intel Mac, but they will run somewhat slower and take up more memory.

Old versions (pre-2006) will most likely run, but poorly (although they may be faster than on your G4).
