Is there a way I can rewrap (read NOT transcode) my .m4v files into .mp4 files, and in the process, delete all chapter markers? You can sorta do this in quicktime, only problem is the end result is a .mov file. I want .mp4s.
You can do it with ffmpeg from the command line. That said, getting ffmpeg and all the assorted libraries downloaded and installed can be daunting. Once you do it though, you can copy the video and audio tracks and specify what container type to use. (It actually determines the container type based on the file suffix you assign to the output file.)

I don't know if it will remove chapter markers, but if you have an mp4 you can set Quicktime to export it to a new mp4 file and passthrough the audio and video.
