i have a possible project: to take dance scenes (3-5 minutes each) from bollywood dvds to my mac, then connect them, and burn to a dvd. this is for non-commercial use (for a private party).
they want to run the finished piece (sans sound!) projected on a wall.

i thought, to get the scenes only (as opposed to handbraking the whole films) by running a dvd thru a converter (like elgato's eyetv plus) to my mac, into...quicktime??

not sure, would appreciate suggestions on how best to do the above...

thanx!

It might not, but MactheRipper is your friend if it doesn't.

I used to run it to extract the title/movie opening sequences from commercial DVDs… so it can be done, but truth be told I can't say if I had ripped the movies before, I haven't used it for a long time, it was PPC by then and I didn't care to pay for a newer version.
