Hello,
I accidentally deleted the clips from my iMovie event library. i've managed to get them out of the trash and onto my desktop, but now I need help getting them back into iMovie. Any suggestions you may have would be tremendously appreciated.

Can't you just drag/drop?

That's what I thought, but iMovie wouldn't accept them. I think part of the problem might be that they were in folders, it might work if i found the clips themselves in the folders and dragged those into iMovie, but that would take a lot of time, and i was hoping there might be an easier way...

With iMovie not open ..... Try just creating an "anyname" folder, and put clips into that.
Then move the "anyname" folder to iMovie events folder.
(You may find this takes a while when iMovie is re-opened, as it creates new thumbnails)
I regularly move iMovie events and projects to another folder, ie iMovie Events & Projects 2008, so that my iMovie LHS menu is not too cluttered.
Then back again to re-edit.

I got the movies back into imovie, and they all work just fine, but there's still a little yellow triangle with an "!" in the bottom left corner of the clips, does anyone know why that is? Also, and this was happening sometimes even before my oops, some of the video clips are extremely shakey. the wierd part is, the camera was steady during filming, and the clips are only shaky some of the times, but other times they're fine. another strange part is that I work on both generations of 15' MacBook Pros, and it only happens on the new ones ( with the black keyboard and multi touch trackpad). by the way, I use iMovie '08.

Hi sizzorbug! Welcome to MacNN forums. Just PM (private message) me if you need any help with how the forum works or anything like that.
BTW, I've never been able to figure iMovie '08 out too well. It's just SO different.
