Hello all, I am looking for an app that will let me do the text messaging thing from my desktop, I can not keep up with the kids on the phone, so I thought if I could find one for the desktop maybe I can type like an email to them faster.

Who's your carrier? If it's AT&T, you can actually email them-for free. The address is:
10digitphonenumber@txt.att.net. Read AT&T's instructions here.

You aren't charged for sending the email, but the receiving number is charged for receiving it.
