How to change profile name on yahoo messenger?

I'm trying to figure out how to change my profile name on yahoo messenger. I'm using a Macbook Pro. Yahoo messengers features are a little different on a Mac compared to a PC so I can't figure out how to change my profile name. Need help...thanks!

To further explain the issue I'm having on yahoo messenger. I want to change the username I'm currently using that appears on each message that I send. For example if you use the name "round about" and that's the name that appears with each message you send how can you change it to another name?

Login to the yahoo mail account, then go to Account Info/Contact Information.

I've logged in to my yahoo mail account and went to edit info but still can't figure it out. All I see is my yahoo email ID. It doesn't show the username I want to change. When I look at yahoo messenger at the top I see my picture and my email ID. When I click on my email ID on the messenger the name changes over to the username I'm trying to change. Even when I click back over to my email ID and message someone the other username appears in my message. I know when I first downloaded yahoo messenger I figured out how to change names but now I can't remember.

I was doing what had been suggested even before starting this thread by logging into yahoo mail and going to my account. I went to edit my aliases but the alias username that kept appearing in my IM messages wasn't listed. This really threw me off.  The only alias listed was my yahoo email ID. That ID appears on my messenger but when I messaged someone the username I was trying to change would appear in the message.  I couldn't figure out why that username didn't appear in my list of aliases when I logged into my account.  So I tried adding another alias to see what would happen. At first nothing happened and the username I was trying to get rid of still kept appearing in my messages. 
So I tried signing out of yahoo messenger and signing back in and PRESTO! When I messaged someone on my messenger I was given a choice in the messenger window of what alias I wanted to send messages under.  I found changing usernames on yahoo messenger alot less confusing on a PC using Windows.
