Hi,

I've just done an isp speed test using speedtest.net. I first did it in Safari 4 and then I used Firefox 3 directly afterwards to compare the results and the test in Firefox came out faster by roughly 1.5mbps?

Which is more accurate? Firefox or Safari?

Not too fussed about it - just intrigued I guess!

I've noticed that speedtest.net isn't exactly the most accurate internet speed testing site out there. If you do a Google search you'll see that I'm not the only one either. They then to give me faster results than I actually get which is probably why my ISP recommended speedtest.net.

Try out this site www.testmy.net. I just found them and they say they are more accurate. I've only ran one test with them but it definitely was closer to what I'm actually getting when uploading and downloading files.
