Seems the new update of Office is a waste. It doesn't even recognize that I have the most recent OS version. Way to go, MSFT.

I get the same results with Office 12.1.9 and with Office 2008 SP1 as well.

Hmmm, well I guess it's good to know MSFT isn't just partial to hating me?

Worked fine here on every system I've updated, which is about a dozen.

Any chance you've made any modifications to your Office install? Moved/deleted files from the Office 2008 folder, or maybe installed the Entourage EWS beta? If not, then I have no idea why it would do that (my install had no problems, for the record).

Mine worked fine as well...I used to have trouble on a system with a modified version of Office 2008, however...

After what I went through with Microsoft Expressions Media 2...
A nearly ten year-old application (former iView Media Pro), and there is still no color management for TIFFs. That means all TIFFs show the wrong colors.
They do their service pack thing, yes...
Comes in several versions. The first one is usually so bad you have to reinstall the application, as the service pack messes it up.
And very basic problems... they don't even care about it.
I'm used to well working applications from Apple and Adobe and have no patience for a bully company's poor products.

I was able to do the first update of office 2008 when it came out. Since then I upgraded to 10.5.7, and I get the same error message when I try to install the newest update of office 2008.

What version of Office are you currently at? You need to have installed 12.1.0 before you can install 12.1.9.
